UP Diksyonaryong Filipino

The UP Diksiyonaryong Filipino (English: UP Filipino Dictionary) is the first attempt at a monolingual Filipino dictionary. Still in its first edition and despite spelling inconsistencies among words, a few pronunciation key errors, and a few missing words, it is considered an important first step towards dictionary-making in the Filipino language.
The dictionary is edited by Virgilio S. Almario, National Artist for Literature. The second edition of the book is set to be released in 2008, coinciding with the centennial of the University of the Philippines.
