Talk:UP Fighting Maroons
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Objecting to reference re: Carribean slaves. Do we have any info to back this up, as I think the entire section is ridiculously speculative and reaching. --Tagasilab 08:06, 28 November 2005 (UTC)
I've been a student of UP since high school and I thought that Maroons referred to a kind of parrot? I'm not sure... hahhaha... we need info on that....!!! --Meynardtengco
The previous name of the UP varsity team was UP Parrots. Also, I think it would be proper if the article name would be UP Fighting Maroons.
[edit] adding notable players
To the one who added "notable players". Your addition is welcome. However, please make sure you are putting the details in its proper topic. Season 69 performance of the CURRENT team is NOT in any way related to the notable players of the team.
Please stop doing such thing if you don't want your act to be branded as vandalism. Please maintain the intellectual integrity of the article. Do note of the information flow of the article.

- I think the addition was fine. Many college sports pages have that. --Howard the Duck 12:08, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
