Unterwasser
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Unterwasser is a small village in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. It is part of the municipality of Alt St. Johann. It is a relatively small ski resort, and many of its trails are shared with the nearby village of Toggenburg. Unterwasser in English means 'underwater', but in this context means between the waters as there are two rivers running through the village.
Simon Ammann, Ski jumper, double gold medal winner of the 2002 Winter Olympics and World Champion 2007 comes from Unterwasser.
