Unterseeboot 97

Unterseeboot 97 or U-97 has been the name of several German submarines or U-boats during the First World War and the Second World War.

  • Unterseeboot 97 (1917) was built in 1917 and operated in the First Battle of the Atlantic during the First World War before being sunk in 1918.
    • During the First World War, Germany also operated two other U-boats with similar designations:
      • Unterseeboot B-73 was built in 1918 and surrendered same year.
      • Unterseeboot C-73 was built in 1918 and surrendered same year.
