Unterseeboot 273

Unterseeboot 273 or U-273 was a German World War II Type VIIC submarine commissioned on 21 October 1942. U-273 served with 8. Unterseebootflottille (U-Boat Flotilla) for training from October 1942 to April 1943 and later served operationally with 9. Unterseebootflottille from 1 May 1943. U-273 completed one patrol and did not sink any ships.

U-273 was sunk on 15 May 1943 with all hands southwest of Iceland by depth charges dropped from a Lockheed Hudson of RAF No.269 Squadron.
