Unterseeboot 110 (1917)

U-110 was a German World War I submarine launched on July 28, 1917, and commissioned into the Kaiserliche Marine on September 25, 1917. U-boat was the nickname for the German word "Unterseeboot" which means "submarine." U-20 attacked and sunk the British ship, Lusitania, which was one of the reasons the United States joined World War I.
