What type of boat was it? based on the number, I'm guessing type VII...I'll add it, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. Antimatter---talk--- 04:34, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Yes, judging from the number and placement of the torpedo tubes it's probably a VII-something. But I can't tell if its a VII-A,VII-B or what else. I did a quick survey of all VII-types, but none of them matched U-427 in Displacement. As an educated guess I would say it was a VII-C, since that was the most used short-range submarine of the Kriegsmarine. 84.133.65.74 (talk) 10:53, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
