Unstable Ape Records

Unstable Ape Records is an independent record label, originally founded in Tasmania but now based in Melbourne, Australia. Unstable Ape's focus tends primarily towards indie rock and roll, but also expands its interest to contemporary folk (Laura Jean, Marissa Nadler), jazz (Christopher Hale Ensemble) and world music (Zulya). In the early 2000s, the label became a home to many Melbourne indie rock bands. Albums currently in print are available through the labels Australian distributor 'Inertia Music'
