Unstable is Adema's second album, released in 2003. It has sold about 200,000 copies. Its radio single was "Unstable", which also had a music video, but it didn't get very much radio play. While few listeners complain that Adema lost its emotional edge with their second album, and that the songs seem formulaic compared to their more successful debut album, Adema, many others feel that Adema refined their tone, relying on instrumentation and harmony instead of distortion. While it may have been less successful than their first album debuting at number 43 on the Billboard 200 before quickly falling off the chart, it still has a large fan following, remaining a fan favorite, and many fans still prefer it over the follow up album Planets (album) with the band's new lead singer Luke Caraccioli. This was also the bands last album with their first lead singer Mark Chavez and their first second guitarist Mike Ransom.
The album came with a bonus DVD which featured the band's four music videos ("Unstable", "Giving In", "The Way You Like It", "Immortal") as well as band footage and other features. There was also another track that was not included in the Unstable album called "Someone Else's Lies", it was only available on the Japanese version of the album and the Unstable cd Single.
