[edit] Your RfA

I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you only have 226 edits on Wikipedia; while your edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards by which they judge RfA candidates, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.

I am sorry about this, and I hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I am confident that you would be able to submit a successful RfA in the future. You may wish to consider applying for an evaluation by other Wikipedia editors for feedback on how to obtain the necessary experience. Once you are ready to request adminship again, there is a great admin coaching program available, as well as a guide to requests for adminship.

If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! Enigma message 04:07, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi there Unknownquinones,
I saw that your RfA was closed early, but I wanted to stop by and echo Enigma's words of encouragement. Stick around, figure out how things work here, and keep writing. If you haven't already, you might want to look into the adopt-a-user program, where experienced editors (myself included) help relatively new users find their footing and improve their contributions.
Good luck, and happy editing! --jonny-mt 05:03, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
How many edits would be qualified to request to become administrator? Unknownquinones (talk) 05:26, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
There is no set amount. See what Useight said. Simply making a lot of edits doesn't make one qualified to be admin. However, having a few thousand edits indicates that you probably have some experience. Enigma message 05:33, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

OK, I will schedule for request again at the end of October 2008. Unknownquinones (talk) 08:03, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps leave me a note at my talk page when you intend to run again. That way I can look over your contributions and history and see if you have a reasonable chance of a successful RfA. I mean no offense by this. I simply don't want what happened to me to happen to you. Enigma message 21:05, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Burj Dubai video

Unknownquinones, I would like it if you did not "advertise" your work on my talk page. I understand that you were just being friendly, but it does not relate to anything here on Wikipedia. For me, talk pages are to collaborate with other users to improve Wikipedia, not for entertainment or for socializing. I hope you understand; thank you.
