UnknownCity is the handle of Steve Shanafelt, a writer and editor based in Asheville, North Carolina. He's an adamant believer in the idea of freedom of information. He also believes that the Wikipedia contributor culture is largely composed of a bunch of arrogant, shortsighted, unimaginitive jerks who want their opinions to be the dominant ones more than they want to provide a working, user-generated resource for all.
