Unkle Bob is a band based in the UK, formed in and around Glasgow University. Led by singer/songwriter Rick Webster, Unkle Bob have variously been compared to acts as diverse as R.E.M., Prefab Sprout and Radiohead.
Their debut album "Sugar & Spite" was released on October 16, 2006 on Friendly Sounds / Mother City – a label set up by ex-James guitarist Saul Davies and Aaron Moore (Ministry of Sound / EMI). Unkle Bob released the single "Put a Record On" on February 19, 2007.
Unkle Bob are currently on tour with the Proclaimers.

- Their song "Swans" was used on Grey's Anatomy Season 3 Episode 17 and also on Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 10.
- "One by One" was used on CSI: Miami Season 6 Episode 2.
- On June 7, 2007, they played the first part of the Scottish band Travis in Paris, Bataclan.
- Their song "One By One" was also used in Kyle XY Season 2 Episode 18.
