[edit] Edit summary

Hello, please provide an summary as it is good practice to fill in the Edit Summary field, or add to it in the case of section editing, as it helps everyone to understand what is changed, such as when perusing the history of the page. It's a good idea to set your user preferences (under Edit) to "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary".

When editing a page, a small "Summary" field under the main edit-box looks like this:

Your contributions may be reverted or removed if the summary is not provided especially if information was added to the article, and removed content at the same time, as you did to Albert Einstein's brain, which has been reverted. Thanks! - Jeeny Talk 06:28, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip but perhaps you should look at what I changed instead of reverting it automatically just because I didn't justify it. There is no link to Lenin's brain anymore so I just removed a broken link. Universalcosmos 07:10, 15 May 2007 (UTC)
