UnixLite is a lightweight Unix clone released under the GNU General Public License.
UnixLite aims to be binary compatible with Linux. In order to achieve the compatibility, it implements some Linux system calls. Unlike Linux, which is written in C, UnixLite is written in C++ (including the kernel).
Its goal is to be an educational operating system, which means that it is intended to be studied and understood by students.
The latest version of UnixLite is 0.2.1, released on July 11, 2006.
