The University of the South Pacific (USP) is a public university with a number of locations spread throughout a dozen countries in Oceania. It is an international centre for teaching and research on Pacific culture and environment. USP is owned by the governments of 12 Pacific Island countries: the Cook Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu and Vanuatu. The university runs campuses and centres in all 12 countries, as well as a Law school in Vanuatu and an Agricultural school in Samoa. USP offers undergraduate and postgraduate study programmes including teaching, tourism, journalism, agriculture, science and environmental management, technology, computing and information systems, banking and finance, public administration and management, counselling and social services and others.
