The University of Washington Bothell (UW Bothell) is one of the two newest campuses of the University of Washington, located in Bothell. The other two campuses are in Seattle and Tacoma. There is also a prospect of another tangent to the university in Everett [3]

UW Bothell is a student-focused four-year undergraduate and graduate campus just off Interstate 405 in northeast King County. Students choose from program options in business, education, nursing, computing, and interdisciplinary arts and sciences. Classes are offered day and evening, for full- or part-time students. The school's mission statement states that "UW Bothell holds the student-faculty relationship to be paramount. We provide access to excellence in higher education through innovative and creative curricula, interdisciplinary teaching and research, and a dynamic community of multicultural learning."

The UW Bothell currently offers five undergraduate degrees: Business Administration, Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences, Computing & Software Systems, Education and Nursing.

The campus also offers a renowned MBA degree designed specifically for professionals in technology-oriented businesses. Business students and alumni participate in the UW Bothell Entrepreneur's Network (UWBEN). UW Bothell also offers master's degrees in Education, Business Administration, Nursing, Policy Studies, and Cultural Studies.

UW Bothell is allowing students to enroll while still completing an associate's degree at Cascadia, Bellevue, Everett, North Seattle and Shoreline Community Colleges. The first class to finish all four years at UW Bothell is expected to graduate in June 2010.

[edit] Future Plans

An agreement with the City of Bothell limits UW Bothell/Cascadia to 3,000 FTE students until an entrance is built with direct access to State Route 522 on the south side of the site. This will increase the maximum amount of students allowed to enroll into the campus to 10,000. WSDOT expects to start building this entrance in 2008 with completion by September 2009.[4]

There are 250 incoming freshmen in fall of 2008

[edit] Wetland restoration project

UW Bothell is home to one of the largest wetland restoration projects on the West Coast, covering 58 acres. As one drives past the campus entrance, it is the field of plants without any structures on it to the left.
