The Library West at the University of Florida is the library at the University of Florida that pertains to humanities and social sciences. In addition their are resources to support the Warrington College of Business, African Studies, Asian Studies, and also features the "Isser and Rae Price Library of Judaica". Overall Library West comprises one of seven libraries that make up the George A. Smathers Libraries at the University of Florida.[1]

Library West was first constructed in 1967. This library was closed for renovation in December of 2003 and went thru a $30 million dollar renovation that doubled its capacity. This facility was reopened in 2007 and is now better equipped to handle the information technology necessities that students need to complete their studies. In addition, Library West now has a Starbucks situated in the lobby that sells food, coffee, and beverages.[1]. This facility is located at the north end of the Plaza of the Americas, and in the middle of the Campus Historic District.

This facility can seat up to 1,400 patrons. It is equipped with eight group study booths with computers and six booths equipped for viewing videos. Overall their are numerous Graduate Study facilities located on the top floors. In addition, 17 study rooms for group study are also available.[2]
