University College Student Association

The University College Student Association or UCSA (UCSA), founded in 1999, is the student association of University College Utrecht (UCU), the first liberal arts college in The Netherlands.
==UCSA Board==
The board of the UCSA is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of all UCSA committees and teams. Also, they are the contact persons between the association as a whole and internal-UCU and external bodies. The board consists of six persons: a Chair, a Secretary, a Treasurer and three Committee Affairs Officers (CAO). Every Academic year a General Assembly in April is held and new students are elected to board positions.

Unless they wish otherwise, all University College Utrecht students automatically become UCSA members upon enrollment. Contribution to UCSA is 50 euro a year.

The UCSA consists of many committees and teams and some other organs. Like the UCSA board, each organ has a Chair, a Secretary and a Treasurer.

UCSA teams are set up with the specific aim of organising a single event. The UCSA teams include the following:
- Beachparty Team, responsible for organising the traditional the end-of-year-party
- Charity Team
- Graduation Team
- Prom Team
- UNISUN, responsible for organising the annual (United Nations simulation)
- Scholarship Team

Apart from that, the Indepedent Body is responsible for dealing with appeals, the Auditing Team check the UCSA's and the Bar's finances on a bi-annual basis, and the Advisory Council advices the Board on long-term policy issues.

The UCSA may recognize (former) members or other individuals for their outstanding contribution to the organization. At present, there are four honorary members: Joeri Maas (since 2001), Roel van Lanen (since 2003), Claire Stramrood (since 2004), and Paul Hermans (since 2005).

UCSA Board 2008-2009 will consist of Ivar van Hasselt (chair), Fleur Brunninkhuis (secretary), Eric Gilbers (treasurer), Sam Moore (CAO), Saskia Westhof (CAO) and Stefan Hut (CAO).
UCSA Board 2007-2008 consists of Eelke Kraak (chair), Laura Hamerslag (secretary), Niko Schonebaum (treasurer), Jeroen Claus (CAO), Sabine Dwinger (CAO) and Geert Sillevis (CAO).
UCSA Board 2006-2007 consisted of Annika Greup (chair), Emma van Dam (secretary), Jac de Vries (treasurer), Aislinn Hettyey (CAO), Barbara Monteiro (CAO) and Sanne Vogels (CAO).
UCSA Board 2005-2006 consisted of Tabe Dwinger (chair), Saskia Kort (secretary), Marijn Stok (treasurer), Merel Alstein (CAO), Willem Cleven (CAO) and Leonardo Verkooijen (CAO).
UCSA Board 2004-2005 consisted of René Janssen (chair), Marlous van Waijenburg (secretary), Michelle Leclercq (treasurer), Maartje Ament (CAO), Jef Erends (CAO) and Lisa Numann (CAO).
UCSA Board 2003-2004 consisted of Joris Wiemer (chair), Marieke Liem (secretary), Rutger van den Berg (treasurer), David Brooke (CAO; autumn semester), Roderick Feltzer (CAO), Aletta Jansen (CAO) and Johanneke Maenhout (CAO; spring semester).
UCSA Board 2002-2003 consisted of Thijs van Himbergen (chair), Huib van der Gaag (secretary), Claire Stramrood (treasurer), Angus Davidson (CAO), David Ehrhardt (CAO) and Jacob Derkx (CAO).
UCSA Board 2001-2002 consisted of Marjan Verdaasdonk (chair), Thomas Venema (secretary), Marjolein Lem (treasurer), Joep Damen (CAO), Eveline van den Heuvel (CAO) and Anca Minescu (CAO).
UCSA Board 2000-2001 consisted of Valerie Laman Trip (chair), Joki van de Poel (secretary), Simone van Leeuwen (treasurer), Sylvie Bavelaar (CAO), Arjen van Oijen (CAO), Roel van Lanen (CAO) and Alon van Dam (CAO).
UCSA Board 1999-2000 consisted of Martin Fotta (chair), Chrisje Couwenbergh (secretary), Jeroen van Disseldorp (treasurer), Angelique Meijer (CAO) and Matthijs van der Meer (CAO).
UCSA Board 1998-1999 consisted of Maarten Stikkelman (chair), Caroline van Oene (secretary), Simcha Jong (treasurer), Joeri Maas (CAO) and Lara Yocarini (CAO).
