Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) is the Catalan name of the Open University of Catalonia. It is Internet-based and centered, and one of the earliest distance learning universities available, offering graduate and postgraduate programs in fields such as Psychology, Computer Science, Sciences of Education, Information and Knowledge Society and Economics. Also, an Information and Knowledge Society Doctoral Program is available that explores research fields such as e-law, e-learning, network society, education, and online communities.
The Internet Interdisciplinary Institute (IN3) is the research body of the UOC.
