Unity Christian High School

Unity Christian High School is a private high school located in Hudsonville Michigan.
The school's mission statement is, "Empowering Students to Live for Christ". Unity Christian currently has 763 students for the 2007-2008 school year. Unity offers many Advanced Placement courses. The school also supports a band as well as an orchestra program, both of which have been successful at state band and orchestra festival recently. The school also has a American football team which for the first time since its conception entered the playoffs in 2007. After the 2005-2006 school year, several noted teachers have moved to different schools or retired, including Mr. Kooistra, Mr. Ball, Mrs. Hernandez, Mr. Dykhouse and Mr. Bouman.

Unity has a strong academic tradition, offering 96 courses including 7 Advanced Placement classes, as well as Careerline Tech Center courses. The A.P. classes that Unity offers are: Spanish Language, English Language, Calculus, Statistics, Physics, Music Theory, and U.S. History.

Unity Christian offers 12 varsity sports for guys and 12 for girls. The guys are offered soccer, football, baseball, basketball, bowling, tennis, track, cross country, golf, wrestling, swimming, and hockey who teams up with Hudsonville High School. The girls are offered soccer, softball, basketball, cheer, bowling, golf, track, cross country, tennis, volleyball, swimming and equestrian. Unity Christian High School's soccer teams have won four state championships and have been state runners-up five times. The school's basketball teams have been state champions twice and have finished second three times. They are currently in the Ottawa-Kent Conference Green Division. The girl's varsity soccer team recently lost their first game in over 3 1/2 years. Their streak of 98 consecutive unbeaten games came to an end after a 2-1 loss to Forest Hills Central.
Unity Christian's bowling, equestrian, softball, and track and field teams have also been successful in state competitions.
