Unitrans RT742 is an ex-London Transport double decker bus operated in regular service by Unitrans in Davis, California. RT742 has been restored to its original appearance and is the only double decker bus in the Unitrans fleet to retain its original roofbox (the route number indicator located above the front upper-deck windows). It was also the second to last double decker bus in the Unitrans fleet to retain its original "pre-select" manual transmission (the other being RTL1014), however it is scheduled to receive a new compressed natural gas (CNG) engine and automatic transmission in 2008. It has recently undergone a complete body re-build, including new sliding windows, replacing broken crank-style windows in the passenger compartment.
