The Delaware United States Senate election in 2008 will be held on November 4, 2008 and will determine who will hold Delaware's Class 2 seat in the United States Senate for the next six years.
Incumbent Senator Joe Biden was running for President and was expected to retire if he didn't receive the Democratic nomination,[citation needed] but he dropped out of the race after the Iowa caucus and is now running for re-election to the US Senate. If Joe Biden hadn't ran for his seat again, his son Beau Biden was expected to seek his father's Senate seat.[citation needed] It is expected that Joe Biden will easily win his reelection.
