United States House of Representatives election in Montana, 2008

The 2008 United States House of Representatives election in Montana will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. Voters will select a single representative, who will run on a statewide ballot. Incumbent Representative Denny Rehberg is seeking re-election; he was originally elected in 2000 with 52% of the vote. He is currently serving as a member of U.S. House of Representatives and was formerly a Billings area rancher, state legislator (1984-90) and Montana Lieutenant Governor (1991-96).

Republican Party: Incumbent Denny Rehberg ran uncontested and will appear on the ballot in the fall as the republican nominee.
Democratic Primary: Three candidates ran in the democratic primary.
- Robert 'Bob' Candee, a successful farmer, rancher, inventor and famous philanthropist from Richey, MT.
- John Driscoll, formerly a state legislator and Public Service Commissioner, now living in Helena, MT.
- Jim Hunt, currently an attorney in private practice in Helena, MT.
The primary held on June 3, 2008 saw John Driscoll win with 49% of the vote.[1].
