United States Collegiate Athletic Association

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) is a national organization in the USA for the intercollegiate athletic programs of member small colleges. It holds national championships in a number of sports.

The USCAA was founded in 2001 and is headquartered in Newport News, Virginia. It embodies the goals of small colleges, especially small liberal arts colleges, where the emphasis is on intercollegiate athletics as a means to an end instead of an end in itself, where the journey of training and competition in itself is as important as the performance, and where the student athlete as a person is more important than the athletics program of the institution.
