United States Ambassador to Croatia

The diplomatic post of United States Ambassador to Croatia was created after the disbanding of Yugoslavia and the United States recognizing the new nation of Croatia on April 7, 1992. In August of that year, the American Embassy in Zagreb opened and Mara M. Letica officially took over as Ambassador. Letica was followed by Peter W. Galbraith (1993 - 1998), William Dale Montgomery (1998 - 2001), George Rossin (2001 - 2003), Ralph Frank (2003 - 2006) and Robert Anthony Bradtke (2006 - 2008).
