United Online NASDAQ: UNTD is a Woodland Hills, California, company formed by the 2001 merger of NetZero and Juno Online Services. The company owns 50megs.com, BlueLight Internet Services and Classmates Online, Inc., the operator of Classmates.com, StayFriends.de and StayFriends.se. The company previously owned both Simpli and RocketCash.
In March 2005, United Online purchased Photosite from Homestead Technologies [1]. In April 2006, United Online purchased San Francisco-based shopping rewards program MyPoints.com for $56 million.
The current (2007) chairman, president, and CEO of United Online is Mark Goldston [2].
United Online also has an offshore development center (Juno Online Services Development Pvt. Ltd) at Hyderabad, India.
On April 29, 2008, United Online announced an agreement to buy FTD Group for $800 million.[3]
