For the 2001 Eurovision Song Contest, the UK entered "No Dream Impossible", performed by Lindsay D. It received 28 points and 15th place.
The UK selection contest, A Song for Europe, was staged on March 11, 2001 and was hosted by Katy Hill. The final result was as follows:
1st - No dream impossible by Lindsay D (45,564 votes), 2nd - That's my love by Tony Moore (31,895 votes), 3rd - Just another rainbow by Lucy Randell (19,337 votes), 4th - Men by Nanne (votes not disclosed)
- Nanne previously represented Sweden in the 1996 Eurovision Song Contest as part of the group One More Time
