The United Ethiopian Democratic Party-Medhin Party is a political party in Ethiopia. At the last legislative elections, 15 May 2005, the party was part of the Coalition for Unity and Democracy, that won 109 out of 527 seats in the Council of People's Representatives. However, in October 2005 the party central committee voted to leave the coalition. Mr. Lidetu Ayalew is the president of the party and Mrs. Sophia Yilma the vice president.[1]
