Uniroyal International Championship
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Uniroyal International Championship, named for rubber corporation Uniroyal, was a European Tour golf tournament that was played just twice. In 1976 Englishman Tommy Horton won the Uniroyal International, and the following year, once the word "Championship" had been added to the name, Severiano Ballesteros of Spain was the victor. The prize fund in the second year was £29,010, which was mid range for a European Tour event at that time. Both stagings were held at Moor Park Golf Club, just to the north of London, United Kingdom.
