The Union of the Congolese Socialist Youth (UJSC), is a subdivision of the Congolese Party of Labour, destined to supervise the young people. From 1969 to 1992, it played a major role in disciplining the young members of the Party and building up their character with Socialist ideas.

The destiny of the young members of the UJSC was to become the next leaders of the PCT, and also of the country. Benefits of membership in the UJSC included scholarships, government-paid studies in foreign countries, and a guaranteed job in the administration once back at home. The UJSC lost its importance soon after the country moved toward democracy, and capitalism.

A lot of officials in the current administration of the Republic of the Congo were members of the UJSC. Its most famous leader was Gabriel Oba-Apounou.
