[edit] Suggest deleting Taiwan in Bilateral Relation

ROC or Taiwan is not a country recognised by USA,so how can a non-country be categorised in the international bilateral relation?--Ksyrie 01:57, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

"Bilateral relations" means the relations between two entities, not necessarely two (recognized) states. You can for instance have bilateral relations with the UN or the EU, while both are not states. So Taiwan should be in the East-Asia section. Sijo Ripa 14:56, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Flag clutter

Does anyone else reckon this template looks cluttered with all those flag icons? Sardanaphalus 12:34, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Flags seem to work best when the list is in a column rather than a row. Maybe the template should be converted to {{Navbox with columns}}.... I could tinker with it, but not right away.--Old Hoss 15:29, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

{{Navbox with columns}} is new to me but I see why you mention it, so I'll try experimenting with it and this template's content on my userpage and post some follow-up here if anything decent-looking results. Thanks for your message. Sardanaphalus 16:11, 15 October 2007 (UTC)

I've toyed with {{Navbox with columns}} and found it can be embedded in a standard Navbox, so here's the current result:

I removed the highly-POV Tibet entry. United States government has since the ROC era(1912-1949) recognized Tibet as part of China.

"For its part, the Government of the United States has borne in mind the fact that the Chinese Government has long claimed suzerainty over Tibet and the Chinese Constitution lists Tibet among areas constituting the territory of the Republic of China. This Government has at no time raised a question regarding either of those claims" [State Department, FRUS 1943, p630]
