[edit] Proposal

In order to streamline the Armed Service infoboxes, I would like to propose a renaming of this template to "US Army". The reason that the other service templates are in this style of naming (with the exception of the Air Force, but I have proposed this same thing on that template), and this way it would be easier (and make more logical sense). All 5 services will then have the same style infobox that will (eventually) convey the same information, of course branch-specific), and this way the articles will have more of a "combined" feel to them. The templates (at this current time and their proposed names) are:

Template:United States Army → Template:US Army
Template:US Navy → OK named as is
Template:USAF → Template:US Air Force
Template:US Marine Corps → OK named as is
Template:US Coast Guard → OK named as is

I hope this makes sense, and that other people will be able to understand what I am trying to do.... - NDCompuGeek 06:29, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Replace & modify

As per this conversation, I have replaced the navbox in the form of an infobox this template used to be with Template:US Army navbox, and converted this template into a real infobox. I've kept the old template with noinclude tags only for reference. bahamut0013 21:04, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
