Eagle versus Parrot: Isn't the bird depicted in the seal a parrot? I remember my seniors telling us before that the bird is definitely not an eagle. They said it was a parrot because of its seemingly intellectual skills such as mimicking speech. Kindly clarify.

I agree! During Freshman Orientation they told us it was a parrot.

I hope this can be clarified as a lot of students have been mislead if it is indeed an eagle.

Does anyone know what happened to the seal used during the 1998 Centennial? The one showing Oble on a reversed maroon triangle, surrounded by a green circle in flaming letters. I'll link if I find a sample.

And I could have sworn that the symbols were supposed to represent Engineering, Medicine, and Agriculture.
