[edit] Student groups and external links

This edit summary is a lie -- you're not "correcting" a link. Please be honest in your edit summaries. To do otherwise is bad faith, and hurts Wikipedia. - Jim Apple

Obviously, putting that tiny unofficial band as a link there while leaving out the actual marching band was your questionable version of "honesty", Jim. Scandalous. -Uris 00:08, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
I didn't put the unofficial band link there, it was there when I got there. There are several other unofficial organizations listed. You want to add the CMB to the links list? Good, so do I. But don't lie and call it "fixing". Jim Apple 05:36, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
Do we need two of these conversations? I'm removing the link to the VPB. It is not a large or significant organization. -Uris 15:08, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
It's significant enough to have a Wikipedia page; It has more members (dues paying and participating) than some of the other organizations listed. Since you don't like the VAPB, you don't get to be the arbiter of whether or not it's important. If you want it removed from the page (which is what this is about; I didn't add anything, you vandalized the page and tried to hide it up), then you need to provide justification besides your "not significant" hand-waving. I vandalized the page? You are ridiculous. I WROTE over 80% of this page. Why would I vandalize a page I contributed the great majority of content for? I simply would not stand for a link to the dinky Pep Band without a link to the actual Marching Band that all Hoos know and love. ;) Try to be a little more professional in your comments, please. -Uris 20:30, 10 December 2005 (UTC)
I see you removed all unofficial links except for the Cavalier Daily. In my opinion, this discussion is now moot. If you wish to discuss my professionalism or why I think lying in edit summaries is vandalism, please visit my talk page. Jim Apple 22:04, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

I have moved this to a subpage. Jim Apple 17:59, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
