[edit] Reversion
Just a note on removing "manned:" DeLaurier's group holds the award from the Federation Aeronautique Internationale for the first engine-powered ornithopter, a four-foot wingspan radio-powered model called Mr. Bill. The larger, piloted ornithopter has been built but not yet flown. moink 02:20, 26 Apr 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Adding some details
Hi Monik. I am a UTIAS PhD student and a new Wikipedia member. Do you think adding details such as a summary of each lab plus their external links is a good idea? Same question about the detailed history of the institute? As I mentioned I am a new Wiki member, so sorry if I am posting this question in the wrong place. Your guidance is highly appreciated. Regards MrMo 07:16, 30 December 2005 (UTC).
- Sorry I took so long getting back to you. Go right ahead, as long as the information is verifiable. By the way, who are you working with? I got my master's under DeLaurier. I also did my undergrad in engsci at U of T so I know many of the professors. moink 00:48, 1 February 2006 (UTC)

- Hi Moink. I am sorry too for the delay. I work on CFD. Regarding history of UTIAS, we have plenty of documents at the archival library that can be used as reference. I'll take a look at them as soon as I can. Thanks MrMo 05:04, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

- With Dave Zingg or... the other guy who's name I don't remember? moink 22:52, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Hey All, I intend to interview some of the profs here for a more complete first-hand account of the history here at UTIAS. Besides Gottlieb and Etkin, who else might provide good info? Paulmartian 01:01, May 13 2006 (UTC)
- Hey Paul. Have you read Wikipedia:No original research? Anyway, if you plan on publishing a history somewhere else, I'd recommend some of the profs who have been around a while, like DeLaurier and Sislian, in addition to the emeriti. moink 00:48, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
