Anyone have any insight into the origins of the band? The Pitt Bands official site has listed the traditional date of 1911 during the Ohio Northern game, however, I have found reference (see article) to a band existing as early as 1904 according to the the 1931 Owl student yearbook. The official site's description seems to blur the details with that of the Owl. Anyone have any info to clarify? I have left references to both in the text to allow individuals to discern for themselves what may be the actual founding years, etc.cp101p (talk) 23:04, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
