[edit] R.Shankar Memorial SNDP Yogam College,Koyilandy cannot be merged with this article

The merging of these articles should not be done under any circumstances, because R.Shankar Memorial SNDP Yogam College,Koyilandy is just a college affiliated to the university of calicut. --Aruljyothy 08:59, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

True. The College is just like any other affiliated college of the University and cannot be merged. 59.93.120.18

  • R.Shankar Memorial SNDP Yogam College,Koyilandy is only one of the numerous colleges affiliated to the University of Calicut, Kerala. Merging the articles is not justifiable. Binoj Mathew 00:55, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

The R Shankar memorial SNDP yogam college is just one of the numerous colleges affiliated to the university of calicut. At most it can be included in a list of colleges affiliated to the university. Hence it should not be merged. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.17.222.67 (talk) 11:07, August 25, 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Calicut University Logo.gif

Image:Calicut University Logo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

'Hi Malcolmxl5,'Bold text In regard to your edit of University of Calicut, I have certain doubts and I I would like to converse with you to clear it. You have removed the criticism part from the article as attack text. I disagree. I disagree because those statements are verifiable and supported. Valid references supported them. To my mind they very much appear encyclopedic. Still I had noted a problem at the time of adding them. The criticism part after the deletion of stolen text created a sort of imbalanced nature for it. And I am collecting the required material to fill it up with. I myself is a former student of this institution. I had my campus life there in the mid 80's and now am working in Persian Gulf and my connectivity here is a problem. I know things there first hand. The negative publicity this institution and Calicut University Employees Union earned in the recent past was so high that most of the links (minus the commercial ones) refer to some misdeeds. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ramsahay (talk • contribs) 16:49, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
