[edit] Cleanup

I've added the Cleanup tag for this article. It's very confusing and the "Famous Players" list is too long. As I don't know much about the former stars of this team I don't want to go ahead and reduce the list so hopefully somebody with knowledge on this team does that. Also, several external links seem unnecessary. Bruno18 20:39, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Disambiguation

A disambiguation page should be started to relate all "Universitario" teams across Latin America

Anyone who wants to help me improve this article and work on it thoroughly, send me a message so I don't encounter any surprises. --MicroX 03:19, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Top strikers accuracy

The table which has the top strikers is incomplete. I do not know where they got the information for the top strikers in the earlier years. It would be best to find all of the top strikers for every year. --MicroX 21:18, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] 2007–08 summer transfers

This is the section for discussing the summer transfers. All transfers must have a good source.

[edit] Victor Zapata

I will remove this player from the squad because he finally stayed in Sport Boys, it appeared on the news.

We are going to need a citation. Did you see it on any particular website or TV program? How is he going back to Sport Boys if he played with Municipal? The one who played in Sport Boys was Jorge Araujo. --MicroX 03:35, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

This says that Victor Zapata no longer belongs to Sport Boys and that he has signed with Universitario --MicroX 16:23, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Out

Gustavo Vassallo will sign with Cienciano[1], Hector Hurtado will not stay because he is too expensive[2], Luis Mayme signed with Cesar Vallejo. The Sport Ancash coach wanted Jean Tragodara and Alianza wanted Jesus Rabanal. (These transfers come from todosport.com.pe, which erase their archives, so we'll wait until another website verifies the transfer)

Luis Nunez is still on the team but the directors announced that they won't use him so he's going to leave soon.[3] Jhonnier Montano may come to Universitario, may go to Alianza, or most likely be suspended for 6 months.[4] --MicroX 17:23, 24 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Utricampeoncarranza.jpg

Image:Utricampeoncarranza.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit] Notable players list problem

The notable players list is very big. I think we should reduce the number of players. It almost seems as if they've put every single player that has played in the past 10 years. Please we need to reduce it. We should put the ones that have done a lot for the club and really stand out. What's funny is that in the past 7-8 years Universitario hasn't won a national title or done very well in international competitions and yet all the players are considered stars in the article. I'm not against the team but we should be reasonable. --MicroX 23:44, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
