Talk:Universal High School

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am not certain of the noteworthiness of a UHS page but I would not suggest merging this with Silver Creek High School's page. UHS is considered independent of Silver Creek and is run by St. Vrain, not Silver Creek. Silver Creek only serves as the host building. If someone wanted to start a page on St. Vrain Valley School District and then merge this into that page, that would be acceptable. --Monsuco (talk) 18:51, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok, now I cleaned up the spelling errors and made it so that it is suitable for use as an encyclopedia article, whereas before it seemed closer to an explanation for incoming students.--Monsuco (talk) 19:01, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

This page should not be merged with any other page as their are schools from other districts interested in adopting the program, also I added a link to a newspaper article about Universal High School in order to establish the noteworthiness of the article. Sorry to sound a little peevish, but I am still not fully convinced that the article as it stands establishes the notability of the subject, notwithstanding the possible merits of the program.

I would be happier if there were references to independent source material indicating, for example

  • The uniqueness of the program within the US educational system
  • Independent assessment of the merits and successes of the program
  • Use of the program as an example of best practice
  • etc
