This page was marked for deletion by User:Martijn Hoekstra. I removed the PROD notice because the article is notable as a case decided by the United States Supreme Court which defined the State of Louisiana's rights to the lands, minerals and other natural resources underlying the Gulf of Mexico. I don't know much more about the case than what I briefly scanned on its findlaw site, but I would assume it would be relevant to the geographic history of the State of Louisiana and therefore notable for that reason as well. If anyone from Louisiana has an opinion about this, I would encourage them to weigh in soon before someone tries to delete the article. I would also like to note, that until I created the disambiguation page for United States v. Louisiana, the case with this name from the same year (though with a different argue date) was noted as "one of most wanted pages on WP:WANTED". I'm not sure which case article was wanted the most (the other case with this argue date is Louisiana v. United States (1965) which I gave its own page), but I assume every single case that was important enough to reach the United States Supreme court is noteworthy. --Cdogsimmons 20:06, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
