[edit] Pete Rose
Should we add that pete rose was here for a term
- I added him, thanks!--Broux 19:54, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
Pete Rose wasn't part of the prison itself, but rather the minimum security farm, which literally doesn't even have a fence. 67.188.7.78 14:25, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- Good point, indicates we should probably include a description regarding other areas around the prison itself, not just the main one--Broux 17:28, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
- I just reviewed the article, it does mention a minimum security camp - should there be some clarification for Pete - I don't believe it's necessary - he was at "Marion"--Broux 20:40, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Maximum Security
This prison is widely reported on the internet as being maximum security, including on another Wikipedia page for Marion the town. However, this page introduces Marion as medium-security. This contradiction needs to be agreed, especially as it is within Wikipedia. IainUK (talk) 00:23, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

- The Bureau of Prisons web page (http://www.bop.gov/locations/institutions/mar/index.jsp) cites Marion as being a medium-security prison in its first sentence. It was downgraded back in 2006. The Marion supermax inmates were sent to Florence supermax. I would state that, barring any verb tenses, this page is correct and older pages referencing Marion should be updated.--Broux (talk) 22:02, 24 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Marion No Longer Supermax
This information is wrong. Marion is no longer a supermax. It was downgraded to a medium security prison on September 12,2006, therefore all of the information regarding practices and prisoner activities is incorrect. Please update your information.
- I've updated the section regarding the prison by removing specific detail to the different cell areas. I also removed rules regarding outside contact since I cannot locate or verify any of that type of information. --Broux 17:07, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
