[edit] Merge requested

Since this race is now being renewed for the 2007 season from the IRL I think it sohuld be proper that the page should be moved to Detroit Indy Grand Prix or Detroit Grand Prix to use it current name instead of its old F1 Name.

Also part of the Belle Isle (Michigan) article that talks about the Circuit should be partialy merged into the Detroit Indy Grand Prix article.

Most definitly the Article United States Grand Prix East and Detroit Indy Grand Prix are already the same aritlces in 2 locations and shoud definitly be merged.

  • I'll second that. It is my thinking that all content should be merged onto Detroit Indy Grand Prix, and that is now the current name of the event. Doctorindy 16:27, 2 November 2006 (UTC)
  • third, although i think leaving the official grand prix events here and use this page for that and other indy races can be merged. --Dan027 07:28, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
    • I'm going to go ahead and make some changes, since we seem to have come to a consensus. I'll send all of the CART/IRL related material to Indy Detroit Grand Prix...leave all of the F1 material at United States Grand Prix East. I'll make Detroit Grand Prix a disambig page, and have links to both the F1 event and the CART/IRL event. The Belle Isle page will stay, but it's racing content will be at the race page instead, that's what's been done with most of the temp. street course races. Doctorindy 17:02, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
