[edit] Review

The selected photo needs credits of the source, and I wouldn't mind seeing another pic in the intro. There doesn't seem to be any readily available links for History of the United States Navy, which is a major part of the navy. A topics box should be created to solve that. Other than that, top notch. Joe I 00:19, 23 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] FYI

USS Wisconsin just cleared FAR with numerous improvements to the article's structure and composition. It may be worth comparing your version of the article with the now current version of the article to see if any major differences between the two versions warrents updating the version used here as a Featured Article. Thanks for the heads up and for discussing changes that need to be made to the portal. I have made the changes to reflect the new article.--WilsBadKarma (Talk/Contribs) 05:11, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Naval Air Stations

The info in the articles "List of United States Navy air stations" and "Naval Air Station" are duplicative. Somebody should staighten them out. I don't know how. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.72.164.120 (talk) 05:40, 16 February 2007 (UTC).

[edit] U.S. Navy historical bios

I'm having a hard time finding bio information on some of the senior U.S. Navy officers involved in the Guadalcanal campaign and Solomon Islands campaign. The Navy historical site only has biographies for "two-star" admirals and above. However, many of the significant Navy officers in these campaigns retired at O-6 or O-7. Is there a resource, either publication or website, that lists the bios of all U.S. Navy officers of the rank O-6 and above during World War II? Cla68 03:52, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Cost of Ship

I'd like to add a line in the "ship info-box" on procurement cost, anyone know who can change that? Publicus 19:54, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

Bring it up over at WP:SHIPS, they should be able to handle it. TomStar81 (Talk) 03:49, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Selected picture nomination

I don't know how often Portal:United States Navy/Nominate/Selected picture gets seen, but I added a photo there that I thought would fit well. If someone can find an appropriate article for it, then it could possibly be nominated for WP:FP too. howcheng {chat} 07:10, 20 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Flag of the United States Navy

Flag of the United States Navy is currently missing an image because Image:Navy flag.gif is about be deleted for sourcing issues. I looked online in vain for a large version of this flag to replace the image. Someone should find a substitute for this image ASAP. -N 20:56, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
