[edit] Portal help
Wow, looking nice already. If you need some help or anything let me know. I do most of the work on Portal:Military of the United States. I was raised a AF brat even tho I went to the Marines. :) Joe I 18:15, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Current Portal Events
Well, all the boxes that are up have content, they layout is (in my humble opinion) asthetically pleasing and easy to read, so now for the next steps.
There's Joe I helping out with the pictures, making sure they're presented correctly. He's also volunteered to assist in other areas - here's to you, sir!
I'll continue to try and keep up on the portal. The next step is to get the ability for rotating articles. I've got some ideas to implement this, just give me some time and I'll (hopefully) get them going soon.
As always, I must also mention the other US military portals: Military of the United States, United States Navy, United States Marine Corps, and United States Coast Guard. We all need more participants helping us out.
I also want to stress the fact that this is the US Air Force portal - not my portal, not Kirill's (he's the task force leader), not Joe's, not any one person's. It belongs to the Wikipedia community, and to the users who look to the encyclopedia for factual, accurate, and timely information. I'm not going to get on a soap box and preach, but this portal needs all the people who are willing to donate their time, effort, and knowledge to work.
'Nuff for now. Time to get back to work! NDCompuGeek 07:39, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Proposed Articles
... are where to post? I suggest Air Force Chaplain Service as a request. Scriberius 23:46, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- sorry for the long delay - you should go to the military history WP (WP:MILHIST) and request there. - NDCompuGeek 16:56, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Additional section
What about a "Unit spotlight" section highlighting one of the many fine USAF units (from NAF all the way down to sqdn)? - NDCompuGeek 16:55, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
