[edit] UK saints?

Would anyone like to explain what exactly is a "United Kingdom saint"? I'd certainly never heard of one before coming to the English wikipedia. The parent category for this category is Category:British saints (see also the Talk page there). So why isn't this called "British saints stubs"? What next I wonder? "United Kingdom Ancient Celts" perhaps? Please let's have some consensus on historicity and common sense and create an appropriately named stub category here.
