[edit] Saint Diablo copyright problems

Greetings, I see that you have claimed on this article's website that the part of the article is copied with permission. However, the Wikipedia rules say that there are only 2 ways to give permission:

  • Place a note on the website that use under the GFDL license is permitted. The note at [1] doesn't specify this.
  • Get a note sent to Wikipedia from an email identified with the copyright owner that they release this content under the GFDL.

See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for details. I hope this can be resolved soon! --Alvestrand 23:57, 28 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for getting back to me. I hope to be a helpful contributor to Wikipedia and I apologize for breaking any specific rules. Unfortunately I'm not exactly understand what you need from the band. Do you need them to place something on their website stating that use of that information is allowed? Would they need to send you an email from their web domain? Any specific directions would be very helpful to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by UnheardConcept (talkcontribs)

Either would be adequate. In both cases, the magic words are "licensed for use under the GFDL". Have you checked out Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission? --Alvestrand 20:34, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
