UNH Wind Symphony

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Wind Symphony is the select wind ensemble at the University of New Hampshire, consisting of approximately 45 instrumentalists. The ensemble performs a wide range of music for winds, from small chamber ensembles to full band literature. Works generally include both classics and contemporary music in the repertoire. The Wind Symphony is conducted by Andrew Boysen, Director of Bands at the University of New Hampshire.

The UNH Wind Symphony follows the Eastman model of Wind Ensembles, developed by Frederick Fennell. This sometimes requires one player on a part, but many pieces require doubling of clarinet and trumpet parts.
