Ron's waterbed store is closed down when he is arrested for tax evasion. Kevin goes to Ron in hopes of getting Andy unemployment benefits when Andy proves unable to hold down a job.

- "Sundown" by Gordon Lightfoot plays in the Ferraro when Kevin drives Andy and Gwen on their date.
- "In-a-gadda-da-vida" by Iron Butterfly plays when Gwen hitches a ride with the van after Kevin and Andy fight.

- Andy makes a gripe about the History Channel, saying that it is always showing programs about World War II instead of Cavemen and other historic specials, a reference to the channel's reputation for often showing World War II-related programs.
