[edit] "New Wave of American Heavy Metal?"

What is this? Doppelganger 15:35, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

I wondered too. I heard about the name from some articles and such (especially from the Metal: A Headbanger's Journey documentary). From what I think about it, NWOHAM is somewhat of the reaction against nu-metal where bands like Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Unearth, Chimaira, etc (mostly bands the metalcore genre, and sometimes specifically swedecore) were emerging in the late 1990s but gaining large amounts of popularity in the 2000s. I removed it. It seems like a Neologism to me, and as WP:NEO says, we should avoid them. dposse 12:02, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
That's fine. AKnot 00:08, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

I also removed "Their music is a mixture of modern metal and hardcore. " In the article it is mentioned that the band is metalcore repetitvely. I think that people already know that metalcore is a mix of hardcore / metal, and if they do not, they can go to the metalcore link 70.150.177.5 (talk) 21:55, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Boston, I thought it was

I thought the Origin of the band was Boston, not Lynn. One of the guitars is from Boston I know, I don't know about the rest, and Unearth has shirts that say Boston Metal on it as well...

I beilive so. I have a shirt that says Boston Metal on it. But it could be diffrent... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.31.9.72 (talk) 01:03, 27 January 2008 (UTC)
