Screenshot taken from the DVD release of Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child, as part of the Doctor Who: The Beginning Boxset. Copyright 2006 BBC Video/Warner Home Video. Created in order to illustrate the article An Unearthly Child. This is an image taken from the first pilot episode which was never broadcast, and is discussed in the article. The image illustrates changes in costuming for the two actors.

This image, UnearthlyPilot.jpg, is a screen shot from a doctor who episode, and copyrighted by the BBC, I futurehawk|talk 19:00, 27 September 2007 (UTC)) feel it is covered by the U.S. fair use law because:

1. The image is a low-resolution (360 × 240) screen shot from a 25-minute episode of Doctor Who which was never broadcast, and of inferior quality to standard broadcast or DVD releases;
2. The image is being used for informational purposes, visually showing the custume differences between this original episode and the final episode, which was broadcast;
3. No more free alternative exists or can exist;
4. The use of the image in this article will have no effect on the BBC’s commercial use of the image in question.
